Over the years, many of our Sam’s Yams customers have asked us to make a treat that included meat, especially those with active, working and hunting dogs that need a full spectrum of nutrients to keep them energized and nourished.
We could never find beef available for pet distribution that we trusted, so we decided to become regenerative farmers. On Front Porch Farms , we pasture-raise our own beef from beautiful Scottish Highland and Belted Galloway cattle. Along with locally-sourced elk, bison and rabbit, sweet potato and an array of nutrient-dense vegetables and fruits, our Herbivore Pemmicans are the perfect pick-me-up treat for your active dog.
We looked for quality meat suppliers in the area and couldn’t find any that we trusted so we decided to become regenerative farmers. We pasture-raise our own chickens, turkeys, ducks and pheasants on our farm in Central Wisconsin. Each pemmican is designed to be breakable into bite-size pieces. Perfect to take with you on a hike or out in the field with your dog to provide replenishment throughout the day.
As always, our treats are baked in small batches, low and slow to lock in nutrition.
